This End User License Agreement ("Agreement") governs your use of MonteGrid ("Software"), developed and provided by Asunder LLC ("Asunder," "we," "us," or "our").
By installing, activating, or using MonteGrid, you agree to this Agreement.
1. License Grant
Subject to this Agreement, Asunder grants you a limited, non-exclusive license to install and use MonteGrid.
MonteGrid may be used for personal, educational, academic, commercial, and professional purposes, including consulting, financial modeling, engineering, statistical analysis, and business operations.
You retain ownership of your Excel workbooks, spreadsheet models, inputs, and outputs.
2. Free and Paid Licenses
Free Tier
MonteGrid provides up to one hour of free use per day, subject to limitations implemented within the Software. Asunder may modify the free offering prospectively, subject to applicable law.
Paid License
MonteGrid is offered as a one-time purchase, without recurring subscription fees.
A purchased license grants one individual the perpetual right to use the licensed Software on up to two devices, subject to this Agreement.
A perpetual license does not guarantee unlimited future upgrades, indefinite technical support, compatibility with future operating systems or Microsoft Excel versions, or uninterrupted availability of online services.
License keys may not be shared, resold, distributed, or sublicensed without authorization.

Refund eligibility is governed by the terms presented at purchase and any applicable non-waivable statutory rights.
3. Software Functionality and Data Privacy
MonteGrid performs calculations locally on the user's device using a Rust/WebAssembly (WASM) calculation engine.
MonteGrid does not transmit workbook contents, spreadsheet formulas, cell values, modeling inputs, calculation results, workbook names, or file paths to Asunder's servers.
Limited usage telemetry and license verification are processed separately, as described in the MonteGrid Privacy Policy.
4. User Responsibilities
Users are responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of their spreadsheet models, assumptions, formulas, inputs, and interpretation of results.
MonteGrid is an analytical software tool and is not a substitute for independent professional judgment.
Users should independently verify calculations and outputs before relying on them for financial, investment, engineering, regulatory, safety-critical, business, or other consequential decisions.
5. No Professional Advice
MonteGrid does not provide financial, investment, legal, tax, accounting, engineering, or other professional advice.
Simulation results, probability distributions, forecasts, and statistical estimates depend on the assumptions and models selected by the user and do not guarantee particular outcomes.
6. Intellectual Property
MonteGrid and its associated software, algorithms, interfaces, documentation, and intellectual property remain the property of Asunder LLC or its licensors.
This Agreement grants the right to use the Software, not ownership of the Software.
Except where permitted by applicable law, users may not unlawfully copy, redistribute, sublicense, reverse engineer, or circumvent the Software's licensing restrictions.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, MONTEGRID IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION.
ASUNDER DOES NOT WARRANT THAT MONTEGRID WILL BE ERROR-FREE, THAT ITS CALCULATED RESULTS WILL BE ACCURATE FOR EVERY APPLICATION, OR THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE COMPATIBLE WITH EVERY MICROSOFT EXCEL CONFIGURATION OR FUTURE SOFTWARE UPDATE.
Nothing in this Agreement excludes warranties or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ASUNDER LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOST REVENUE, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, LOSS OF DATA, OR LOSSES ARISING FROM RELIANCE ON SOFTWARE OUTPUTS.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ASUNDER'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO MONTEGRID SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID FOR THE APPLICABLE MONTEGRID LICENSE.
These limitations do not exclude liability or statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
9. Updates and Compatibility
Asunder may provide software updates, bug fixes, improvements, or new versions at its discretion.
Asunder does not guarantee continued compatibility with all versions of Microsoft Excel, operating systems, or third-party platforms.
Microsoft Excel is a separate product provided by Microsoft and is subject to Microsoft's own terms.
10. Termination
This Agreement remains effective unless terminated.
Asunder may suspend or terminate a license for material violations of this Agreement, including unauthorized license-key distribution or deliberate circumvention of licensing restrictions, subject to applicable law.
Upon lawful termination, the right to use the affected license ends. Termination does not transfer ownership of user workbooks, models, or outputs to Asunder.
11. Changes to This Agreement
Asunder may revise this Agreement from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through reasonable means and applied in accordance with applicable law.
Changes affecting existing perpetual licenses remain subject to applicable legal protections.
12. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States, except where mandatory applicable law requires otherwise.
